Every few months, DNA puts the spotlight on one of our fabulous members.
This time, please meet the charming Nancy Mudford.
Nancy has been a member of DNA for about eight years and she can always be counted on for fabulous donations at several of our DNA events! Originally referred to DNA by a friend, Nancy thought the members seemed like a great group and over the years she has enjoyed getting to know them better. Nancy’s hobbies include playing poker, golfing and drinking wine. No wonder she fits right in with DNA with our annual martini-mixer, golf tournament and previous poker events!
Nancy’s Business Background
Nancy was working for Telus almost a decade ago when she decided she decided to try something different. She packed up her desk, left Telus and opened her first business “Le Petit Spa”. Le Petit Spa is a French country-inspired day spa that was a dream-turned-reality for Nancy. Building on her blossoming knowledge of the spa industry, five years ago Nancy started “Spa Boutique,” Canada’s leading online store for cosmetics and beauty products. An entrepreneur at heart, Nancy has met her fair share of challenges, like many business owners, but she faces each challenge head-on and continues to be successful. “I love the freedom to be creative and the diversity you get running a business,” said Nancy.

With this nice hot weather, what’s more fitting than hitting the water? On August 16th, come join us for some kayaking around Granville Island and English Bay!

Place: Ecomarine, Granville Island
Time: 5.30pm – 8.30pm (maybe a few pints / wine after?)
Price: $25 (members), $35 (non-members)
What to bring: A sense of adventure….and….quick-drying clothes and shoes, water, sunscreen, a light jacket in case the weather changes and a dry change of clothes. All other gear to be provided by Ecomarine.
No previous experience is required as there will be tips/lessons if required.
There is a maximum group size of 8, so register to save your spot.
